Blaine has 13 years of prior State Farm Agent office experience. He has served SWLA State Farm customers proudly during Hurricanes Laura and Delta. Blaine is licensed to serve the entire state of Louisiana AND Texas. A lifelong resident of SWLA, Blaine graduated from McNeese State University in 2011 with a BS in Biological Sciences. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 2006. He has been married to his wife, Lindsey, since 2011. They have two children, Norah and Nolan. The entire Newby family is proud to be SWLA natives and they enjoy all the recreation our state has to offer including boating, hunting, camping, hiking, and fishing.

Blaine is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He loves welcoming new residents to the area. Blaine can help new and existing State Farm customers moving or relocating to the area. He is also able to help Louisiana residents that may be relocating to Texas.

Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, DeMarkus graduated from Barbe High School, attended Mcneese State University and is now pursuing his Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Financial Advising. After having many career paths, Demarkus has found a heart and a calling in insurance. Servicing Southwest Louisiana and the surrounding areas for several years, he is working towards becoming a State Farm Agent to join the list of amazing individuals that contribute a sense of community and a higher standard of customer service for the SWLA area in insurance. Demarkus enjoys gardening, fishing and networking within the community in his spare time while also staying involved with first Moss Bluff and many other churches within our area. He looks forward to helping the community one policy at a time and cant wait to help you!

Shadi Abrusley joins our team, as a native of Lake Charles and he is really excited to be in the Go Team Blaine Agency. Shadi attended St. Margaret's Catholic School throughout grade school, furthered his high school years at Saint Louis Catholic High School and then completed his B.S. Degree from McNeese State University. After completing his undergraduate degree in 2005, Shadi explored the ideas of entering Law School; however, there was always something that brought him back to his family's wholesale distribution business, which he grew up working. Mastering the art of listening when needing to listen and talking when needing to speak, Shadi quickly grew into the business world not only working within his family's business, but also beginning his first business in 2006.

Today, Shadi oversees the operations of several family business locations among a variety of industry sectors between the State of Texas and Louisiana. Beginning roughly six years ago, prior to working with Blaine Newby Insurance Agency under the State Farm brand, Shadi was first a State Farm commercial and residential customer while Blaine Newby serviced all of his accounts. When the opportunity came for Blaine Newby to establish his own Agency, so did the opportunity for Shadi to become licensed and part of the Go Team Blaine Agency. From the business perspective, insurance was already a major part of Shadi's business career operating multiple businesses under multiple sectors; however, being licensed now allows Shadi to take his own experiences with Insurance in both business and personal life and share it with his many new customers, under the proud State Farm brand, working with the wonderful team at Blaine Newby Insurance Agency.

I grew up in Grand Lake where my dad was the Ag teacher at our High School. I was heavily involved in FFA and 4H from speaking competitions to livestock shows. I’m an LSU Alumni with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design. I enjoy drafting house plans and all things related to that! I have two kiddos, Norah & Nolan, who keep me busy with gymnastics and karate. My favorite hobby is swimming and spending time on the water. I’m licensed in Property and Casualty Insurance. I enjoy helping people & finding ways to support others to reach their goals. Seeing our community blessed by the fruits of our labor is the greatest reward.
